Black Youth Success is a new organization with the goal of improving outcomes for Black youth in Peel. Currently improving educational outcomes through the Black Youth School Success Initiative (BYSSI), a program for Black middle and high school students in the Peel Region. The BYSSI supports students by connecting them with culturally appropriate wraparound support provided by different organizations and community agencies. Supports include but are not limited to, academic supports, post-secondary pathway planning, skill-based programming, and one-on-one mentorship

The BYS is currently seeking approximately 8 youth between 11 - 21 to establish a Youth Advisory Council to support BYS and it's collaborative partner agencies in providing programming for youth that is informed by youth.

Some perks of being part of the advisory council include, volunteer hours, honorariums, leadership experience, expanded professional networks, and reference letters.
